National Science Week 2017
W5 scientists, Emma and Mattie, delivered Science workshops to the whole school.
Emma delivered a magical workshop where she asked the children if they thought her magic could be explained using science.
Mattie generated questions among the Key Stage 2 children about sound. The children investigated how sound is produced and observed sound on different frequencies.
P6 and P7 are now taking part in a science/reading initiative in association with Queen’s University Belfast called ‘Project 500’.
Science books tell us a great deal about the world around us. The children will be challenged to read science books which they can find in the library numbered 500-600.
Primary six and seven enjoyed a trip to the Marble Arch Caves to celebrate National Science Week.
