Very Sad News
Dear Parent,
It was with great sadness that we learned about the sudden death of Shirley Rowland. Shirley was a classroom assistant at Enniskillen Model P.S. She was also head of their P.T.A. Shirley was a leading face in the Shared Education Programme. She, along with our P.T.A. organised the Bake Sales and was at the forefront of the organisation of the float the we jointly shared for St. Patrick’s Day in 2019. She also made huge contributions to the three Shared Education inspections that we underwent.
I remember Shirley coming up to our school on a weekly basis to work with our P.T.A. in order to arrange the float. She did it with dedication and with a smile on her face. She was discreet, gentle, energetic and highly organised. She was a very good friend to our staff. We are all very sad about this terrible and sudden event.
On behalf of Mrs. O’Connor (Shared Education Co-ordinator), the staff, our P.T.A and myself I want to express our sorrow to her husband, children and her wider family. I also want Mr. Glass and the staff from Enniskillen Model to know how much we valued Shirley. She was a true lady. May she rest in peace.
My Best Wishes,
Ms. O’Neill.
