Santa Sunday 2022
Dear Parent,
Santa Sunday was a great success. It was wonderful to see our community assemble after such a long time without our Santa Sundays.
I think the children had a lovely time.
Firstly, I wish to thank the P.T.A. They worked so hard. They meet in the school on many occasions and plan for events like these. They freely give their time and efforts. They also organised a very ample raffle. It took a lot of endeavour to request prizes from businesses and other providers. The P.T. A. work in a dynamic way and do so for the good of the children. I overheard one member say, ‘I think the adults are enjoying this too’. This is true; where ultimately, it is a community event with our children at its centre and our school, parents, staff and community playing a huge role in delivering positive societal values to the next generation.
A special thank you to the staff who came along on the day and supported this event. To Mrs. O’Connor, who organised the children going in and out of Santa’s Grotto, a special thank you.
Indeed, to all those who donated prizes, I say thank you.
Mrs. Claus visited Mullanaskea with her husband this year. She loved it so much that she would like to attend next year also! She was so entertaining.
Of course, the most special thank you is extended to Santa Claus. We were worried that he would miss Mullanaskea’s location having not been there for so long and especially with the inclement weather. However, he successfully landed at our school, and we are so grateful to him.
My Very Best Wishes,
Ms. O’Neill.
