P.6 present their ESB Science Blast project.

Today the P.6 pupils presented their science project to Pat Dowling, who is an electrical engineer with ESB.  He was very impressed with the pupils’ eloquence and scientific knowledge. 

During this term the P.6 pupils have been carrying out a series of investigations to find out if they could light a bulb using lemons and potatoes!

They wanted to find out if a lemon battery would produce more energy than a potato battery.  After their investigations, they concluded that the potato battery worked just as well as a lemon battery!
