Mid-September Newsletter 2021
Reminder
We would like to remind you that the school will be closed on Monday 20th September for a Staff Development Day. All children are back to school on Tuesday 21st September.
European Languages Day
This year, European Languages Day is on Friday 24th September. Further information will be given by each class teacher outlining their country of choice and information about what the day will entail.
Data Collection Forms & ICT Agreements
Please ensure you return your Data Collection form and your ICT Agreements. Children will not be able to use any electronic device until these are returned. We also are unable to take pictures of your child until it is returned.
P1 Photographer
The Photographer from the Fermanagh Herald will be in school on Tuesday 28th September to take the P1 photograph for their Primary 1 supplement.
Covid-19 Update
From 10th September, the PHA’s Contact Tracing Service is the lead body responsible for contact tracing with schools. The aim of this is to reduce the potential for large numbers of pupils being required to self-isolate and reduce the amount of time spent by schools on contact tracing.
If your child develops symptoms of Covid-19 (temperature, cough, loss of taste/smell), please isolate and seek a PCR test as soon as any symptoms develop. For the safety of our staff and the other children in your child’s class, please do not send your child to school if they have covid symptoms. We are coming into cold/flu season and we ask that you please err on the side of caution.
If your child receives a positive PCR test result, please notify the school as soon as possible by emailing info@mullanaskea.enniskillen.ni.sch.uk or telephoning 028 6632 6539 during school hours. If the school receives a positive notification from a parent or member of staff, we will send out a ‘warn and inform’ letter so you can keep an eye out for symptoms.
School Dinners
Please send in dinner money to school on a Monday with each individual child. If you, for example, know your child will be taking dinner every Friday we encourage you to send in the money for the month. We know that there are some families waiting on Free School Meals to come through from the Education Authority. We would like to remind you that you will need to pay for their dinners until the school receives a notification from the Education Authority that the application has been approved.
PE
P1-P4 every Wednesday
P5-P7 every Thursday
Children can wear their PE gear to school on these days.
If you are sending money in, please put money in an envelope stating the child’s name along with their class, what the money is for and how much is in the envelope.
