Dear Parent,
I would like to issue you with some details with regard to the Holy Communion. The date for the P.5. class’ Holy Communion will be Saturday 26th September 2020 at 11am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Tempo. Due to social distancing, the church can only accommodate the child who is making his/her Holy Communion and two family members. Fr. Halton will celebrate the Holy Communion Mass.
There will be a photographer stationed outside the Church to take photographs before the service at 10am.
Prayers of the Faithful and readings will be carried out by teachers to avoid as much movement as possible inside the Church.
The First Confessions will be carried out by Fr.Halton at the school on Monday 14th September 2020. Currently, the children are being prepared for their First Confessions and Holy Communion by Mrs. McVitty supported by Ms. McAloon. The children had already completed a lot of preparation before lockdown with Mrs.Cox in P.4., so they will be ready to receive both sacraments by the given dates.
It is very sad that the normal Holy Communion celebrations are limited this year. However, the aim is to keep everyone as safe as possible whilst still carrying out important events for the children. We hope that the children have a wonderful day in spite of the circumstances. The children need to feel a sense of occasion given the important sacraments that they are about to receive.
