First Holy Communion Thanks
Dear Parent,
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the P.4. children who celebrated their Holy Communion on Saturday. The children were simply wonderful. They read perfectly, sang perfectly, took their positions perfectly and their behaviour was exemplary. We are so proud of each of them.
I would like to say a very big thank you to Ms. McAloon who prepared the children in her own exact and organised way. She is a credit, and we are all very thankful to her. To Mrs. Toal and Mrs. O’Connor, who prepared and organised the choir, I would like to say a special thank you. The choir sounded heavenly. Each choir member was totally committed, and again, performed beautifully.
To Mrs. Kennedy and Ms. Rice the P.4. classroom assistants, I say another special thank you. To Claire in the office, a very special thank you for all her hard work before, during and after the Holy Communion.
The tea party was just splendid. Everyone was in their finery and the cream cakes were in abundance. To Mrs. O’Connor, and her P.3. parents, who organised this huge event, all credit to each of you for your immense efforts. Mary Love, former parent, was just wonderful organising and serving on the day. Many P.3. parents also donated lots of food for the tea party, without this, we could not have coped. I am also conscious of the Spring Clean Up that our P.T.A. and many parents were involved in a couple of weeks ago clearing the outdoors and ensuring that the children’s day was special.
Father Halton celebrated a lovely Mass. He asked me to pass on his compliments to the children, parents, grandparents, family members and staff.
We all hope that you enjoyed your special day with the children. It is our pleasure to be part of this experience.
My Thanks and Best Wishes to You All,
Ms. O’Neill.
