Eco School Election
Wednesday 16th September is selection day for this year's Eco Council. This year the school needs to reapply and be reassessed for maintence of the gold level green flag. Therefore it's going to be all hands on deck for all classes. To represent us in the endeavour the school will choose 2 pupils from classes 4-7 to form an eco-committee. The committee will devise ways that the school can improve and build upon its existing eco activities. Their tasks will include continuing the already established routines of collecting composting material, planting/watering/harvesting vegetable boxes, making bird feeders and helping run the annual healthy tuck shop amongst others.
As in previous years selection for the council will be determined by the pupil delivering a short speech on why they should be on the Eco Council and presenting any new ideas the school might benefit from.
A parent represenative is required for the Eco Council every year and we are hopeful that a parent will volunteer for this role. Please contact Mrs Quinn if you are interested.
